Active Poem: Autumn


Autumn winds begin to blow; (blow) Colored leaves fall fast and slow. (Fall motion with fingers) Twirling, whirling all around. (turn self around) Till at last, they touch the ground. (Fall to the ground or touch your feet with your fingers)

Two little squirrels sitting on a hill One named Jack, the other named Jill Run away Jack, run away Jill Come back Jack, come back Jill Credit: Childhood


Craft:




Supplies:

  • Acorn Template



  • Tissue paper: Fall colors

  • Glue Stick

  • Crayons

Directions:

Print out acorn template on white cardstock.

Have children color and glue tissue paper on the acorn.


Hand out coloring pages for kids to take home: Squirrel coloring page.
