This website was created to showcase Early Childhood Literacy program's used at Ridgefield Park Public Library.

 

The programs have been geared toward children aged 0- 6th grade.  The plan includes programs such as:

• Lap-sit Storytimes

• Toddler Storytimes

• Preschool Storytimes

• Therapy Dog Reading Programs

• STEM Programs  

• Bilingual Storytimes

• Sensory Play Storytime

• Explore and Soar Workshop

• Family Storytime

• Speciality storytimes such as "Out of this World Storytime",

 

Programs offer literacy tips for parents/caregivers, and/or programs include Common Core and AASL Standards. Many programs will also provide a sample of a parent/caregiver weekly newsletter, craft instructions, and/or templates for felt board, puppetsmaking and other tools to aid in children's learning.
