While we cannot give permission for videos to be posted on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or any other public platform, if you are a teacher or a librarian, we would love to have you record a read-aloud for any of our books and post it on a closed platform (ex. A Zoom meeting, a password-protected classroom site).
Please follow the guidelines below: 1. At the beginning of your video, please state the author’s name, the illustrator’s name, and the fact that you are reading “with permission from Charlesbridge Publishing.” 2. Please delete your video by June 30, 2020. If you do need to keep your video up through the summer, please write “SUMMER PERMISSION” before the title when you fill out the below form. If you have previously posted a video and are looking to renew the permission for the summer, please refill the form below with the same required information that you had used before. In the space for specific titles, please write “SUMMER EXTENSION” instead of your title. If you had filled out the form for multiple titles, you need only fill the form once to renew all. In the “desired read-aloud date” space, please just write 08/31/2020. All summer permission and extension videos should be removed by September 1, 2020. 3. These readings are allowed for remote educational programming only. This process does not grant permission for any commercial use. 4. Finally, please fill out this form just to let us know about your read-aloud.
