The book, "The Giving Tree by
Brown Construction paper
Green Construction paper (print out template 2 on this paper)
White paper (print out template 1 on this paper)
Glue Stick
Scissors
Pencil
Pom Poms
Red tissue paper
crayons
Template 1 and 2 can be found of the pathfinder page (tools).
Description of Program
Children will listen to the story, The Giving Tree. Afterwards they will reflect on what they are thankful for and create their own giving tree.
Instructions
Children will listen to the story the Giving Tree.
Using template 1, children will write what they are thankful for and draw a picture describing it.
Using template 2, they will make a tree and glue template one onto the inside of the trees trunk.
Children can decorate their tree using tissue paper, pom pom's etc.
