A fun program to do in December.
Prep: Make ginger bread man cookies a head of time.
Have children sit at the story rug and read the story The Library Gingerbread Man by Dotti Enderle. The book is great since it repeats lines so kids can help read the story.
Afterwards, have children go to the craft tables and make their own gingerbread houses. I purchased them through Oriental Trading.
After they make their craft give each child a gingerbread man man cookie to decorate.
I did this program on 12/7/19. It took a little over 1 hour to complete. The program was successful because I required parents to stay. This is a keeper. Parents raved about the program. I had the program on a Saturday at 1pm.
